So will you lose weight on a vegetarian diet? We know for a fact that vegetarians eat less fat and calories. That is just the nature of the beast. But changing to a vegetarian diet will not change any bad eating habits that you may have. Losing weight is still work, no matter what you eat.
So if your goal is to lose weight you are still going to have to put in the effort. Of course it will not be as much work. And there are many side advantages. By being a vegetarian you will not only be consuming less fat, calories, and cholesterol, but you will be healthier as well. You may be reducing your blood pressure, cholesterol, and the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
And your taste buds will not have to suffer. The great thing about having so many vegetarians in the world is that they are constantly coming up with new meal plans and recipes! A lot of people claim that they do not even miss the meat.
As you start to feel all of the benefits of losing weight on a vegetarian diet, it will become even easier. You will see noticeable improvements in almost all areas of your life.
So the bottom line is that being on a vegetarian diet does not guarantee weight loss, but it sure dose make it a lot easier and much more beneficial!

Vegetarian food is low fat, hence got several health benefits. It helps manage cholesterol and keeps one’s weight in check. We can adopt vegetarian food to make ourselves fit. I have been a vegetarian since may 2011 and have lost 10 kilos till date. My vote is with veggies!
