Seems like all of our childhood heroes are biting the dust!

McDonalds is the latest target of PETA. Seems that the people who supply chicken to Ronald use cruel methods.

Here is a quote from the McCruelty site:

“There is a less cruel method of slaughter available today that would eliminate these abuses, yet McDonald’s refuses to require its U.S. suppliers to switch to this method.”

Apparently the Superbowl is not hurting for takers on their high dollar commercial spots.

NBC asked for so many edits on PETA’s commercial that it would have just about deleted the whole commercial. They said that the commercial “depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards.” Here are some of the things that they wanted to be cut out before they would reconsider: licking the pumpkin, touching the breast, pumpkin from behind the legs, rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin, making love to the broccoli, almost the same with the asparagus, licking the egg plant, and rubbing the asparagus on the breast. Watch the commercial to see what you think.

‘Veggie Love’: PETA’s Banned Super Bowl Ad

I guess that thing with Janet Jackson is still in the back of everyone’s mind. I think that falls right in there with that “who shot Kennedy” thing. We will probably never know if we were supposed to see Janet’s boob.

This commercial is a little suggestive, but hey vegetarians are better lovers according to research. Sex has just gotten a bad name because of the idiots in the world. Yes, the same one’s that would sue McDonalds because the coffee was hot. Duh. The perverts who don’t know when and who to have sex with. Duh. The same idiots who hijack planes, which causes me to have to walk around in my bare feet at the airport. Duh. The whole world is changing. Some for the better and some is way too inconvenient!

I have seen commercials that are just as suggestive as this one on TV. It gets the message out there. It gets your attention.

PETA is unique and they stay on the edge. This is not the first commercial that they have had trouble with. Visit PETA’s web site to see some more banned commercials.

Using sex appeal to sell is not a new concept. It has been around for a long time and is here to stay.

It’s hard sometimes to think about what celebrity vegetarians will do next!
Well Pamela Anderson, together with Peta.org, Sir Paul McCartney, the Dalai Lama, and Rev Al Sharpton are taking on The Colonel. Yes, The Colonel. Colonel Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Here is a quote from their web site, Kentucky Fried Cruelty: “KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.”

From the web site you can donate money or sign a petition.

Make your own KFC sign at KentuckyFriedCruelty.com

Well, another childhood hero goes sour. How could such a sweet old man be so cruel?

People are different and people have different reasons for being vegetarian, or not, but this type of cruelty can not be acceptable in anyone’s mind. Or can it?

I am pretty sure that these celebrity vegetarians will be converting some more people to vegetarianism with this action!
