It’s hard sometimes to think about what celebrity vegetarians will do next!
Well Pamela Anderson, together with Peta.org, Sir Paul McCartney, the Dalai Lama, and Rev Al Sharpton are taking on The Colonel. Yes, The Colonel. Colonel Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Here is a quote from their web site, Kentucky Fried Cruelty: “KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.”

Well, another childhood hero goes sour. How could such a sweet old man be so cruel?

People are different and people have different reasons for being vegetarian, or not, but this type of cruelty can not be acceptable in anyone’s mind. Or can it?

I am pretty sure that these celebrity vegetarians will be converting some more people to vegetarianism with this action!

Oprah’s Vegan Cleanse Diet

Oprah is working on an “inner makeover”. She will start by following Kathy Freston’s method in her book “Quantum Wellness.” Oprah will be doing a 21 day cleanse. Some of the things that she will be eliminating from her diet include caffine, sugar, alcohol, gluten, and animal products. Carrie Underwood Named Sexiest Female Vegetarian

Carrie Underwood has been named the sexiest female vegetarian by PETA. She won the same title in 2005. Apparently she has still got it! She was thrilled.

“I quit eating beef when I was about thirteen,” said Underwood. “I do it because I really love animals and it just makes me sad. I don’t like to watch commercials where they have meat. It weirds me out.”

The male winner was Kevin Eubanks. He is Jay Leno’s band leader on the Tonight Show.

Congratulations to both of them!

Paul is probably one of the most famous vegetarians. Watch this video clip, where he does an episode of “The Simpsons”!
